The Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde is a nightmarish little novella by celebrated Scottish author, Robert Louis Stevenson about the evil that lurks in the heart of men. It is a very British work in that it is an examination of what happens when rigid English constructs of decorum and behavior break down. It is also a work that reflects the scientific developments of its time, particularly the work of Charles Darwin and his Theory of Evolution. Enjoy!
